Who Are Stefon Diggs’ Parents and Siblings?
Diggs was raised by his mother, Stephanie Diggs, and his father, Aron Diggs, who died from congestive heart failure in January 2008 when Stefon was 14. Diggs has spoken about how his father’s advice to look after his mother and younger siblings shaped his sense of responsibility.
His younger brother Trevon Diggs also became a professional football player, earning recognition as an NFL cornerback.
The family connection has remained part of Diggs’ public story. He chose to attend college close to home, which helped him stay connected to his family while developing as a player.
He has also kept many details about his wider family life private, so claims about relatives or personal matters should be treated carefully unless confirmed by reliable reporting.
Where Did Stefon Diggs Go to College?
Diggs played three seasons of college football at the University of Maryland from 2012 to 2014. Before college, he attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland, where he became one of the region’s top football recruits.
At Maryland, he recorded 150 receptions for 2,227 yards and 14 touchdowns, finishing near the top of the school’s receiving records.
The decision to remain in Maryland kept him close to family and gave him a chance to build his game in a familiar setting. Minnesota selected him in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, with the 146th overall pick. That selection began a professional career that later included multiple 1,000-yard receiving seasons.
What Team Does Stefon Diggs Play for in 2026?
Diggs plays for the Washington Commanders, who signed him on August 7, 2026. The move brought the Maryland native back to the region where he grew up and played college football.
Washington signed him to a one-year contract, reported as worth up to $12 million, although reported maximum value should not be confused with guaranteed pay.
His recent path has been busy. Minnesota traded him to Buffalo in 2020, Buffalo sent him to Houston in 2024, and New England signed him for the 2025 season. The Patriots released him on March 11, 2026, after one season.
Through six games in the 2026 regular season, Diggs had 24 receptions for 214 yards and four touchdowns. His availability for any upcoming game depends on the Commanders’ latest weekly injury report.
An ACL tear ended his 2024 season with Houston after eight games. He returned to play all 17 regular season games for New England in 2025, catching 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. The Patriots reached Super Bowl LX before losing to Seattle, giving Diggs another late-season stage after his recovery.
What Are Stefon Diggs’ Career Stats and Biggest Achievements?
Diggs has built a career around dependable hands, route precision, and the ability to create separation. Through the first six games of the 2026 season, his career totals stood at 966 receptions, 11,718 receiving yards, and 78 receiving touchdowns.
He has earned four Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro honors, and he has recorded seven seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards.
Several milestones help explain his standing among the league’s veteran receivers:
- In January 2018, he caught a 61-yard touchdown on the final play against New Orleans in a playoff game. The finish became known as the Minneapolis Miracle.
- In 2020, his first season with Buffalo, he led the NFL with 127 receptions and 1,535 receiving yards.
- He recorded 1,000 or more receiving yards in seven seasons, most recently with New England in 2025.
- He entered the 2026 season as a veteran with experience across five NFL franchises, including the Washington Commanders.
His 2020 receiving title was a major career peak, but his 2025 return after an ACL injury also mattered. Playing a full season and surpassing 1,000 yards showed that he could remain productive after a serious knee injury. His 2026 role with Washington gives him another opportunity to add to those totals.
How Many Kids Does Stefon Diggs Have?
Public reports in 2026 commonly describe Diggs as a father of six children, although he has not publicly confirmed every detail of his family life and reports differ on some of the children’s identities.
Mainstream coverage has documented his daughter Nova, born in October 2016; his daughter Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, born in April 2025; and a son with Cardi B, born on November 13, 2025.
Paternity for Charliee was confirmed through testing reported in November 2025 after a legal filing. Other sports and entertainment outlets have reported additional children, but names and details are not consistent across every account.
For that reason, it is more accurate to distinguish widely reported family information from details that Diggs has not personally discussed in public.
Is Stefon Diggs Married, and Is He Dating Cardi B?
Diggs is not publicly known to be married, and his relationship with Cardi B has been described as on and off. The two were first linked publicly in 2025, and Cardi announced that she was expecting a child with him that September. They welcomed a son in November 2025, their first child together.
Reports described a breakup before Super Bowl LX in February 2026, although the pair later appeared together at a Mother’s Day event hosted by Diggs’ foundation. In June 2026, Diggs spoke warmly about Cardi but left it to her to clarify whether they were still a couple.
By September, some coverage referred to them as former partners. As of October 27, 2026, the clearest confirmed fact is that they share a son; their current romantic status has not been jointly confirmed.
What Happened in Stefon Diggs’ Chef Case?
Diggs was charged in connection with an alleged December 2, 2025, dispute with his former private chef, Jamila Adams, over money she said she was owed. Adams alleged that Diggs hit and choked her during the argument. Diggs denied the allegations, and his attorney said the claims were untrue and connected to a financial dispute.
Diggs pleaded not guilty to a felony strangulation charge and a misdemeanor assault and battery charge at his February 2026 arraignment. After a two-day trial, a jury found him not guilty on both charges on May 5, 2026.
The verdict means he was acquitted in that case; the allegations should not be presented as established facts, and he was not convicted or sentenced to jail in connection with those charges.
What Is Stefon Diggs’ Net Worth?
Stefon Diggs’ exact net worth is not publicly verified. Celebrity wealth websites commonly estimate his fortune at around $60 million, but that number is not an audited disclosure from Diggs or his representatives. His private investments, property, debts, taxes, spending, and business interests are not fully public.
A more concrete measure is his football income. Contract tracker Over the Cap lists roughly $151.5 million in career NFL earnings. That figure reflects gross professional compensation, not the amount he has kept or the value of all his assets.
Diggs has also developed interests outside football, including LIEM Homme, a fashion brand he founded in 2022, but the business has not disclosed enough financial information to calculate its value or contribution to his personal wealth.
Conclusion
Stefon Diggs is a veteran NFL wide receiver whose career has included elite receiving seasons, a famous playoff touchdown, a return from an ACL injury, and a new chapter with the Washington Commanders in 2026.
His current season statistics and long career totals show why he remains relevant on the field, while his family life and past legal case have drawn public attention away from football. The most reliable biography keeps those subjects in perspective, distinguishes confirmed records from estimates, and respects the limits of what is publicly known.
